This dataset includes short- and long-range wildfire exposure rasters and corresponding directional vulnerability vector layers. The exposure rasters quantify the proportion of nearby grid cells with hazardous fuels capable of generating embers within 100 m (short) and 500 m (long) of a given location. The directional vulnerability layers use these exposure surfaces to identify and map potential wildfire pathways towards Yukon communities through systematic radial sampling, highlighting the direction and extend of elevated fire risk. It is important to note that this analysis considers only the spatial distribution of hazardous fuels. It does not incorporate weather, topography, ignition probability, suppression response, or other variables influencing fire behaviour, and therefore should not be interpreted as a comprehensive wildfire risk assessment. |
